Vote Early By Mail
Voting early by mail with an absentee ballot is a convenient way to cast your vote and skip the lines on Election Day.
-
To vote early by mail, you have to submit an absentee ballot application.
You can complete the form online, print it, and mail it to your county board of elections, or request a ballot in person at your county board office.
You CANNOT make a request to vote by mail online.
Voting early by mail begins on April 7th. Military & Overseas early voting by mail begins on March 20th.
The last day to request your absentee ballot is April 28th. OOC recommends requesting your ballot by April 25th to account for slow mail times.
-
You can return your absentee ballot by mail or in-person at your board of elections.
By Mail
Absentee ballots must be postmarked by May 5th and received by May 9th.
In-Person
Absentee ballots must be returned to your board of elections by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.
OOC recommends NOT mailing back a ballot after April 25th due to slow mail times. If you have not sent in your ballot via mail by April 28, you should hand-deliver it to your board of elections on Election Day.
